Wilmington, NC - Prestige Scientific is excited to announce the successfully completed search for an an Executive Vice President and Head of R&D with our partner, a biopharmaceutical company with a mission to protect at-risk populations through discovering, developing, and commercializing vaccines for severe, life-threatening infectious diseases.
This critical hire will lead the executive team to set strategic company-level program priorities and development strategies. They will lead cross-functional program development teams through lifecycle management, ensuring organizational synergy and alignment with overall corporate goals.
The individual hired for this role has over 30 years of experience in vaccine and pharmaceutical R&D, including senior scientific and executive leadership roles at Eli Lilly, Novartis, and GlaxoSmithKline. They have guided scientific and technical teams to develop novel vaccines for infectious diseases, including targets for RSV, influenza, meningitis, group B streptococcus, S. aureus, COPD, CMV, herpes zoster and SARS-Cov-2, and have contributed to the licensure of four vaccines.
