Melissa Acevedo is a Senior Executive Search Associate within the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industry specializing in Discovery and Preclinical Research. Prior to Prestige Scientific, she was conducting nationwide searches for an RPO provider on behalf of top Fortune 500 Life Science corporations. Melissa attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she was a Research Assistant supporting projects from genetics to marine sciences and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology. She currently resides in Wilmington, NC.

Melissa’s most recent client experience includes the completion of a search for an Associate Director of Toxicology based in San Francisco as well as a remote based Associate Director of Immunology. Melissa has worked on searches from Discovery through Translational Sciences including Non-Clinical Development, Pathology, Bioanalytical, DMPK and ADME. Additionally, Melissa helped complete 11 searches at the Senior Scientist through Vice President level to build out the immunology team for our rapidly growing biopharmaceutical client based in Massachusetts.
