“And the Best Workplace Award goes to…” We’d all love to be a “Best Workplace” award winner. But more important than seeing your name in lights is understanding what makes a “Best Workplace” truly the best.
Here are some of the descriptors I’ve seen attached to the latest winners:
🏆 “a job that’s always evolving and bringing new opportunities to learn”
🏆 “no other workplace has ever cared about me as an employee as much”
🏆 “I am so excited to be waking up every morning making a difference”
🏆 “the knowledge and culture is great here”
In the 20 years I’ve been a recruiter, not much has changed in terms of what makes a workplace great.
Employees want to feel appreciated, taken care of and important. They want to feel like what they’re doing matters—both collectively and on an individual level.
Infuse a little more of that into your leadership this year, and you’re well on your way to being a “Best Workplace” winner this year!
